EU flight carrying 97 tons of lifesaving supplies lands in Kabul

A European Union humanitarian flight carrying 97 tons of lifesaving supplies for victims of recent floods in Afghanistan landed in Kabul on Sunday.

Janez Lenarčič, the EU Commissioner for Crisis Management, stated on X that since 2021, the EU has conducted 35 humanitarian aid flights, delivering a total of 1,600 tonnes of assistance to Afghanistan.

This delivery comes as concerns rise among international actors over the Taliban’s lack of “transparent” and proper methods for providing assistance to the victims.
