Amu Television is looking for an experienced, self-motivated and energetic news reporter to join our team in specified provinces. As a reporter, you must be a self-starter, able to work independently, have outstanding time management skills and complete required assignments on deadline.

Responsibilities:

• Fulfill daily news story assignments as received from management and supervisors
• Arrange and conduct interviews; take photos and write up various features
• Gather, write and present accurate and engaging news stories for broadcast and digital
• Develop and execute ideas for feature stories
• Conceive, pitch, and write timely short-feature stories that include original photography
• Take quality photographs and adjust for publication
• Generate fresh and interesting story ideas
• Conduct news interviews, write and edit stories/scripts and publish the finished product

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in journalism/communications or related field
• A minimum of two years’ experience working as a reporter
• Strong writing skills and thorough knowledge of current events
• Excellent people and communication skill
• Full proficiency and understanding of job function
• Excellent written/oral communication skills in Dari, Pashto and English
• Understanding the basic tenet of journalism and must be passionate about news
