Fawzia Koofi, a former member of Afghanistan’s parliament, is slated to speak at this year’s Nobel Peace Summit, scheduled for Sept. 5.
According to a statement from the organization, the summit will convene experts, policymakers, and activists to discuss challenges and solutions facing women’s rights globally.
The organization highlighted that the meeting will focus on the significant regressions in women’s rights around the world.
