KABUL, Afghanistan — The Taliban’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has issued a warning for heavy rain and snow in 27 provinces, including Kabul, following recent flash floods, officials said.
The ministry stated that the affected areas include Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Helmand, Kandahar, Zabul, Paktika, Paktia, Ghazni, Daikundi, Uruzgan, Ghor, Badghis, Faryab, Sar-e Pul, Balkh, Samangan, Bamiyan, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Kabul, Parwan, Baghlan, Panjshir, Kapisa, Badakhshan, and Takhar, as well as the strategic Salang Pass.
Rainfall is expected to range from 15 to 60 millimeters, according to the statement.
