Amu Sharks and Mis-e-Ainak Knights secure wins in Kabul cricket league

The Amu Sharks and Mis-e-Ainak Knights secured decisive victories in the 2024 Shpageeza Cricket League, continuing their strong performances in Afghanistan’s premier T20 tournament.

The Boost Defenders set a target of 145 runs for the Amu Sharks, losing five wickets along the way. The Sharks responded confidently, reaching the target in the 17th over with six wickets in hand.

In another match, the Mis-e-Ainak Knights faced off against the Band-e-Amir Dragons. The Knights posted a modest target of 128 runs, but the Dragons struggled to find their footing. They were held to 113 runs after 20 overs, losing nine wickets.

The Shpageeza Cricket League 2024 commenced on Monday, bringing together Afghan players from across the globe. However, star player Rashid Khan has yet to arrive in Afghanistan due to an injury that has sidelined him from this year’s tournament.
