A 4.1 magnitude earthquake shook parts of Badakhshan province on Wednesday morning.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the epicenter was 41 kilometers from Ishkasham district in the province.
Details on possible damages and casualties are not yet available.
The earthquake occurred around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday.
