KABUL, Afghanistan — Three female activists and their brother, who were detained by the Taliban in Kabul last month, have been released, sources confirmed.
Ilaha Rezaee, Azada Rezaee, Nadia Rezaee, and Yahya Rezaee were taken into custody by the Taliban in the western part of Kabul on March 27.
The Taliban initially denied detaining the individuals.
The released women are identified as members of “Junbish-e Adalat Khwah,” an organization consisting of women protesters.
