Taliban detain director and two journalists from Daikundi radio station

Taliban intelligence forces have detained the director and two reporters of Radio Nasim, a local Radio Station in the central Daikundi province of Afghanistan, according to local sources.

Sources said that Sultan Ali Jawadi, the director of the radio station, along with two of its reporters, Saifullah Rezaei and Mujtaba Qasemi, were detained on Saturday and have been taken to the Taliban’s provincial intelligence headquarters.

According to the sources, the head of the Taliban’s information and culture department entered Radio Nasin’s office in the provincial capital of Nili City on Saturday afternoon, and subsequently, Taliban intelligence forces raided the media outlet and detained its director and two journalists.

The Taliban had detained these journalists on September 27 but released them on bail the same day.

So far, Taliban local authorities in Daikundi have not provided any comments or statements regarding the detention of these journalists.
