Afghanistan’s national wushu team has arrived in China to participate in the Asian Wushu Championships.
The tournament will be held from June 24 to June 28 in Anhui, Hubei Province, bringing together athletes from across Asia and member countries associated with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
According to National Olympic Committee, the delegation consists of seven members, including six athletes competing in various weight categories and officials from the national wushu federation.
Athletes will compete in weight divisions ranging from 53 kilograms to 80 kilograms, with Afghan competitors scheduled to enter the competition later this week.
The event aims to promote cultural exchange among participating countries and support the development of wushu across the region, organizers have said.
