Mis-e-Ainak Knights defeated Amo Sharks by nine wickets in the Shpageeza Cricket League on Monday, completing a commanding run chase with 53 balls to spare.
After being sent in to bat, Amo Sharks scored 166 for 7 from their 20 overs, setting the Knights a target of 167.
Mis-e-Ainak Knights made light work of the chase, reaching 168 for 1 in just 11.1 overs to secure one of the most emphatic victories of this year’s tournament.
The win was built on an explosive batting performance that allowed the Knights to overwhelm the target while losing only one wicket.
The Shpageeza Cricket League, Afghanistan’s premier domestic T20 competition organized by the Afghanistan Cricket Board, is being played in Khost Province, bringing together the country’s leading regional franchises and many of Afghanistan’s top domestic and national team players.
The victory strengthens Mis-e-Ainak Knights’ position in the tournament as the league continues in Khost.
