TEHRAN, Iran — The Iranian government on Thursday executed four Afghan nationals, including two brothers, on charges of drug trafficking, according to the Iranian human rights group HAALVSH.
HAALVSH identified the individuals as Zaman Taheri, Salam Taheri—the brothers—and Ghulam Qadir Samani and Ibrahim Noorzai.
The organization cited sources stating that the four were arrested in 2019 and subsequently sentenced to death by Iran’s Revolutionary Court for drug dealing.
