Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the “resistance front,” is in Moscow to attend a conference focused on Afghanistan, as confirmed by a statement from his office.
The conference, scheduled for today, aims to bring together various political, civil, and military figures from Afghanistan, alongside political leaders and experts from Russia, according to the statement.
Titled “Afghanistan between the Past and the Future: On the Path to Just Peace and Sustainable Development,” the event is hosted by the Just World Institute.
Key speakers at the conference include Sergey Mironov, leader of the A Just Russia party and deputy speaker of the Russian parliament, along with Ahmad Massoud, as announced by the resistance front.
The statement underlines the meeting’s objective as addressing “Russia’s interest in stability in Afghanistan and the establishment of an all-inclusive political process in the fight against extremism, terrorism, drugs, social and humanitarian development, and international economic cooperation.”
