Taliban flogged a woman in Kabul on Wednesday on charges of “adultery,” according to a statement by Taliban-run Supreme Court.

According to the statement, the woman received 35 lashes and was sentenced to two years in prison.

Reports from Amu on July 25 indicate that the Taliban’s Supreme Court has issued stoning orders for 37 individuals over the past three years.

Additionally, the findings reveal that 587 people, including 106 women, have been flogged by the Taliban during this period.

Since seizing power in Afghanistan, Taliban has resumed the practice of public flogging, which was officially reinstated in December 2022.
