Floods ravage several provinces, injuring three

KABUL, Afghanistan — Taliban reported on Monday that heavy rains have caused flash floods across Bamiyan, Maidan Wardak, Panjshir, Kunar, Paktia and Kapisa provinces.

According to a Taliban statement, at least three people were injured, and numerous homes were destroyed in the affected provinces.

The floods have also ravaged dozens of acres of agricultural land, exacerbating the challenges faced by local farmers.

In Panjshir, Taliban officials reported that the main road connecting the Anaba and Shutul districts has been rendered impassable due to the flooding. Abdullah Farooqi, a Taliban spokesperson for the Panjshir Department of Security, has advised residents to avoid traveling on this route until it is deemed safe.
