The Taliban-run meteorological department has issued a warning about the possibility of heavy rainfalls and floods in 10 provinces on Sunday.
According to the department’s statement, the provinces at risk include Badakhshan, Kunar, Nuristan, Laghman, Nangarhar, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Paktika and Ghazni. The expected rainfall is forecasted to range between 15 to 30 millimeters in various areas.
Recent floods in Afghanistan, particularly in Baghlan, have been deadly, claiming hundreds of lives. The floods have also left thousands of people in precarious situations, destroying hundreds of homes.
