Ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan granted bail in graft case

ISLAMABAD — Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was granted bail by a court in Islamabad on Wednesday in a land corruption case, according to his lawyer’s statement on X.

Khan, a former cricketer, faces charges alleging that he and his wife received land from a real estate developer in exchange for illegal favors while he was in office.

Khan, who has denied the charges, had applied for bail through the Islamabad High Court.

Despite being granted bail, Khan, 71, will remain incarcerated as he is serving sentences in two other cases. He has been in jail since August of last year.
