Four Taliban members killed in attack claimed by resistance front

The resistance front asserted in a statement on Wednesday that its forces launched an attack on a vehicle carrying Taliban members in the city of Taluqan, the capital of Takhar province, on Tuesday afternoon.

The statement claimed that four Taliban members were killed and two others sustained injuries during the assault.

The statement identified the two deceased Taliban members as Obaida and Abdul Haq. The attack reportedly occurred on Tuesday evening within the city of Taluqan.

On the other hand, the Taliban’s security command in Takhar released a statement on Tuesday, stating that an explosion targeted a vehicle in Taluqan city on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in three civilians sustaining injuries.

The Taliban attributed the blast to “personal enmity” and noted that the incident took place in the second district of Taluqan city.
