Afghanistan’s under-20 national football team held Kyrgyzstan to a scoreless draw in its final match of the 2026 Central Asian championship tournament in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

The match, played Sunday afternoon, ended 0-0 and marked Afghanistan’s only point of the competition after losses in its previous three matches.

Afghanistan had earlier faced Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan during the regional tournament, which features youth national teams from across Central Asia.

The competition began on May 10 in Dushanbe and is scheduled to continue through May 20.

Despite failing to secure a victory in the tournament, the draw against Kyrgyzstan allowed Afghanistan’s U20 side to avoid finishing the competition without a point.
