Bost Region beats Mis-e-Ainak by 4 wickets in National T20 Cup

Bost Region secured a narrow four-wicket victory over Mis-e-Ainak in Match 4 of Afghanistan’s domestic National T20 Cup on Sunday, successfully chasing a target of 167 runs.

Bost reached 166 for 7 in 20 overs, edging past Mis-e-Ainak, which finished on 162 for 6 in 20 overs.

Earlier, Bost set a competitive total of 166 after captain Najib Zadran scored a quick 61, supported by 37 runs from Aziz Miahkhel. For Mis-e-Ainak, Abdullah and Mohammad Younis took two wickets each.

In response, Mis-e-Ainak fell just short despite a standout performance from Khalid Tanaiwal, who scored an unbeaten 95. His effort kept the chase alive until the final overs, but the team was unable to reach the target.

The match was part of the e& National T20 Cup, powered by Super Cola, under the “Omid-e-Watan” edition, currently underway in Kunduz.

The result marks a turnaround for Mis-e-Ainak, which had won its previous match by five wickets against Amo Region, successfully chasing 172 runs.

In that earlier game, Mis-e-Ainak scored 175 for 5 in 19.2 overs, with key contributions from Mahboob Khan and Amal Shahin, both of whom registered half-centuries. Mahboob remained unbeaten on 64 and was named player of the match.

The ongoing tournament features regional teams including Speen Ghar, Amo, Bost, Mis-e-Ainak and Band-e-Amir, representing different zones across Afghanistan.
