Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by a massive 200 runs in the third and final one-day international on Tuesday, sealing a dominant 3–0 series sweep at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Afghanistan posted a formidable 293 for 9 in 50 overs. Ibrahim Zadran led the charge with a composed 95 off 111 balls, supported by Mohammad Nabi’s quickfire 62 from just 37 deliveries. Rahmanullah Gurbaz also contributed 42 at the top of the order.

Bangladesh’s bowling attack struggled to contain the Afghan batsmen, with Hasan Mahmud and Tanvir Islam picking up two wickets each. Mahmud conceded 57 runs in six overs, while Islam finished with figures of 2 for 46 in 10 overs.

In response, Bangladesh were bundled out for just 93 in 27.1 overs. Rashid Khan starred with the ball, taking three wickets for six runs in four overs, while Bilal Sami claimed four wickets to dismantle the middle and lower order.

Only two Bangladeshi batsmen reached double figures as the team suffered one of its heaviest ODI defeats. The highest scorer was Shamim Hossain with 43 runs off 54 balls.

The result marks one of Afghanistan’s most comprehensive ODI victories and underlines their growing dominance in the format ahead of major international tournaments.
