Afghanistan to host Bangladesh for white-ball series in UAE in October

Afghanistan will host Bangladesh for a white-ball series of three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 matches in the United Arab Emirates from Oct. 2 to 14, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said Sunday.

The series will open with the T20 leg, beginning Oct. 2, followed by matches on Oct. 3 and 5. The ODIs are scheduled for Oct. 8, 11 and 14. All games will be played in the UAE.

“This tour highlights the strength of our partnership and our joint commitment to delivering world-class cricket experiences, even in neutral venues,” ACB CEO Naseeb Khan said in a statement.

Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury said the matches will be “a competitive and exciting white-ball series” and provide valuable preparation after the Asia Cup.

Both teams are also set to play in Group B of the Asia Cup 2025 before beginning the bilateral series.
