The Afghanistan Cricket Board on Sunday announced the national team’s schedule for the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025, with the side set to open its campaign against Hong Kong on September 9 in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the official fixture released by ACB Media, Afghanistan will face three opponents in the group stage of the high-stakes tournament. After their opening match against Hong Kong, the team will take on Bangladesh on September 16, followed by a clash against Sri Lanka on September 18.
The Super 4 stage of the competition is scheduled for September 20 to 26, with the grand final to be held on September 28.
The Asia Cup 2025, organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), will be contested in the T20 format and hosted by the UAE. The tournament features top Asian cricketing nations and serves as a key platform for regional rivalry and preparation ahead of global T20 events.
Afghanistan’s squad, known for its explosive bowling attack and rising young talent, is expected to be a formidable contender in this year’s edition.
