KABUL — Taliban on Friday condemned Israel’s military strikes on Iran, calling them a clear violation of international law and a threat to regional stability.
In a statement, Taliban said the attacks represented “a blatant breach of the fundamental principles of international law, particularly the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.”
Taliban also referenced the ongoing conflict in Gaza, where Israeli bombardments have continued for months. “At a time when the oppressed people of Palestine, especially in Gaza, remain under relentless and catastrophic attacks, the occupying regime continues its violence with complete disregard for humanitarian norms and international standards,” the statement said.
Taliban warned that such actions would only further inflame tensions in the region. “These developments have pushed the region toward deeper crisis and instability,” the statement added.
Calling for restraint, Taliban urged all parties involved to act responsibly and work to preserve regional peace. “The warring sides must take full responsibility to address this situation and not allow insecurity and chaos to spread across the region,” they said.
According to Iranian state media, the Israeli strikes killed at least six senior military and nuclear officials, along with 12 civilians. The Israeli government has said the attacks were aimed at thwarting Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
