Activists rally in Paris, call for ‘boycott’ of Doha meeting

A group of Afghan citizens in France in a rally in Paris on Sunday said that inviting the Taliban to the Doha talks disregards the will of the people of Afghanistan.

The protesters called for European representatives to boycott the meeting and to recognize the “gender apartheid and criminalization” occurring in Afghanistan.

The Taliban’s invitation to the Doha meeting, extended by the UN, has sparked widespread reactions from women’s rights advocates.

Sources told Amu TV that six to eight representatives from Afghan civil society have been invited to attend the Doha talks.
