SAMANGAN, Afghanistan — At least five people were killed and 21 others injured in a traffic accident on the Samangan-Balkh highway, local Taliban officials said.
The incident, reported by the Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency, occurred in the Chaichal area of the highway.
According to Taliban officials, the accident happened after a truck carrying goods overturned.
