The Afghanistan national futsal team defeated Bahrain 3-2 on Tuesday, securing a spot in the quarterfinals of the Asian Futsal Championship.
This victory places Afghanistan among the top eight teams in the tournament.
Previously, the team lost 3-1 to Iran and drew 3-3 with Kuwait in the group stages.
The 17th edition of the Asian Futsal Championship, which features the top 16 teams from across Asia, started on April 17 in Bangkok, Thailand, and will continue through April 28.
