Al-Hilal beat Al-Nassr 3-0 on Friday in the Riyadh derby to extend their Saudi Pro League lead to seven points over Cristiano Ronaldo’s side.
Midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic opened the scoring for the hosts with a 64th-minute header before fellow Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic netted a brace late on.
Al-Hilal’s near-perfect evening was soured a bit when defender Ali Al-Bulayhi received a straight red card three minutes into stoppage time for an unsportsmanlike goal celebration in front of the opposition fans.
Al-Hilal maintained their unbeaten start in the league with 13 wins and two draws and moved up to 41 points, with Al-Nassr second on 34, four ahead of Al-Ahli.
