Bost Region pulled off a dramatic four-wicket victory over Speenghar Region on Friday, successfully chasing a target of 197 runs in the final over of the 12th match of Afghanistan’s e& National T20 Cup 2026 in Kunduz.
Bost reached 197 for 6 in 19.5 overs after Speenghar posted 196 for 6 from its full 20 overs in a match dominated by aggressive batting.
Sabir Hanif led the chase with 57 runs, while Nauman Shah added 36 and Najib Zadran contributed 35. Amir Hamza provided late momentum with a quick 24-run innings that helped carry Bost across the finish line.
For Speenghar, Faridoon, Abdul Zahoor and Nabi Miakhil each claimed two wickets but were unable to prevent Bost from completing the chase.
The result strengthened Bost’s position in the tournament standings after a tightly contested opening phase of the competition.
Earlier in the day, Mis-e-Ainak Region defeated Amo Region by 13 runs in another high-scoring contest at the same venue.
Batting first, Mis-e-Ainak scored 200 for 6 in 20 overs, setting one of the tournament’s highest totals so far.
Amo responded with 187 for 6 from its allotted overs but fell short despite a strong innings from Haji Murad Muradi, who scored 82 runs. Mohammad Riaz added 43 in the chase, though the pair could not guide Amo to victory.
For Mis-e-Ainak, bowlers Sharifullah Riaz, Mohammad Younus and Asghar Atal each took one wicket as the team defended its total successfully.
The matches were part of the ongoing e& National T20 Cup 2026, sponsored by SuperCola, which is being held in Kunduz with regional teams competing from across Afghanistan.
Following Friday’s matches, Amo Region remained at the top of the standings despite its defeat, while Bost and Mis-e-Ainak improved their positions in an increasingly competitive table.
