Afghanistan’s national futsal team played to a 2–2 draw against Iran on Thursday in their second match at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh.
The match, held at 3:00 p.m. Kabul time, saw Iran leading 2–1 at halftime. However, a determined second-half performance by the Afghan side leveled the score, with Mahdi Nawrozi scoring the equalizer.
Earlier in the tournament, Afghanistan defeated Tajikistan 9–5 in their opening game.
