At least four people wounded in blast in west of Kabul

At least four people were wounded in an explosion in the west of Kabul on Saturday morning, a Taliban official said, adding that the explosives were placed on a motorbike.

The blast happened in front of an electronic identity card distribution center in the Dasht-e-Barchi area in Kabul’s District 13, the head of the police command for the area said.

The official said that two of those wounded are civilians and two others are members of the Taliban.

This is the third explosion in less than two weeks in the west of Kabul, an area where most of its residents are Hazaras.

Two blasts happened in the west of Kabul on August 5 and August 6. The United Nations said that at least 120 people were killed and wounded in the two explosions.
