Khalil Rahman Haqqani, the Taliban’s minister of refugees, who was killed in an explosion in Kabul on Wednesday, was buried in Paktia Province on Thursday afternoon.
Footage shared by Taliban members on social media showed heightened security measures during the burial ceremony.
The Taliban deployed significant resources to secure the area, with local sources describing the measures as unusually strict.
