Afghanistan’s ‘A’ team heads to Oman for Emerging Teams Asia Cup

Afghanistan’s Cricket Board (ACB) announced that the national “A” team, known as the Afghan Abdalyan, departed Kabul on Monday morning for Oman, where they will participate in both the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 and a Tri-Nation Series.

The Afghan Abdalyan will begin their tour with two warm-up matches against Oman, followed by the Tri-Nation Series, which also includes Hong Kong. Following these matches, the team will compete in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024, where they have been placed in Group A alongside Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, and Hong Kong.

The team is captained by right-handed batter Darwish Rasoli, who will lead the squad through what the ACB describes as a promising and competitive schedule.
