In the ongoing U-20 CAFA Championship, Afghanistan’s under-20 national football team triumphed over Turkmenistan in a dramatic penalty shootout, winning 9-8.
With this victory, Afghanistan secured fifth place in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) U-20 Championship.
The match between the two teams was decided by penalties, with Afghanistan emerging victorious.
Faisal Saeed Khil, the goalkeeper and captain of Afghanistan’s U-20 team, played a crucial role by saving two penalty shots from Turkmenistan.
Saeed Khil was also named the player of the match by CAFA.
