Saudi foreign minister begins two-day visit to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD — Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived in Pakistan on Thursday for a two-day visit, accompanied by a senior delegation, according to Pakistani media.

Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar at the airport.

The visit aims to advance the agreements made between Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during Sharif’s recent trip to Saudi Arabia. These agreements focus on enhancing bilateral economic cooperation.

Reports indicate that the discussions will include facilitating the first phase of Saudi Arabia’s $5 billion investment in Pakistan.
