In a continuing effort to expel undocumented migrants, Pakistan has deported 8,581 Afghan immigrants from April 3 to April 13, Pakistani media outlets report.

The deportees included 3,127 men, 1,972 women, and 3,482 children.

This move is part of an ongoing campaign that began in October 2023, which has so far resulted in the deportation of approximately 535,000 undocumented Afghan migrants.

On Saturday, April 13, Pakistani media announced that the government plans to commence the next phase of deportations within the coming days, targeting additional undocumented Afghan nationals for expulsion.
