The Taliban’s Ministry of Finance announced plans to pay its security personnel directly at their offices to mitigate risks during salary distributions.

The ministry said the move is aimed at protecting security personnel from “security threats”.

Payments will be processed through the New Kabul Bank within the confines of the security personnel compounds, according to the Taliban ministry’s statement.

This comes as the Taliban has frequently assured the international community of stringent security in the country, citing it as one of its achievements following the fall of the previous government.
