All flights at Kabul airport were canceled Monday after the nationwide internet shutdown, sources at the airport told Amu.

They said an Ariana Afghan Airlines flight to Dubai scheduled for 6 p.m. and a Kam Air flight to Istanbul set for 8 p.m. were among those canceled.

According to the sources, even airport officials were not informed in advance of the internet cutoff.

This comes after fiber-optic internet was shut down nationwide by the Taliban on Monday afternoon.

In mid-September, Taliban started cutting fiber-optic internet in Balkh and expanded it to 17 by Monday afternoon, while imposing nationwide blackout hours later.
