Taliban commerce minister travels to Turkmenistan for economic conference

Taliban’s commerce minister Nooruddin Azizi departed Kabul for Ashgabat on Friday to participate in an economic conference, according to a Taliban statement.

Azizi heads a delegation of 22 members, including Taliban officials and private sector representatives, during his visit, the statement said.

The ministry’s statement highlighted the trip’s objective to launch the inaugural “Turkmen-Afghan conference” and exhibit Afghanistan’s products.

Additionally, the visit will feature bilateral meetings between the private sectors of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, as well as discussions between the Taliban delegation and Turkmen officials.
