Construction begins on Afghanistan-Uzbekistan railway project

Construction of the Mazar-e Sharif-Uzbekistan railway project, estimated to cost over $6 million, has commenced, according to Taliban-run media on Thursday.

RTA, the state media under Taliban control, reported that the 75-kilometer railway will extend from Mazar-e Sharif airport to Uzbekistan.

Taliban officials stated that the project is expected to be completed within the next three months.
