Pakistan deported 699 Afghan migrants on Tuesday, Jan. 2, marking a significant decrease compared to previous days, according to Pakistani media reports.

The migrants returned to Afghanistan through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings.

Since November 2023, Pakistani media figures indicate that 457,261 undocumented Afghan migrants have been repatriated to Afghanistan.

The mass exodus from Pakistan has raised concerns about the humanitarian situation of these migrants, who face an uncertain future, lack of shelter, and harsh winter conditions in Afghanistan.
