The Afghanistan Buzkashi League’s quarterfinal lineup was set after Saturday’s matches in Kabul, featuring six teams: Sar-e-Pul, Takhar, Balkh, Maidan Wardak, Badakhshan, and Logar.
In a close contest, Sar-e-Pul edged out Takhar 1-0 to secure a spot in the quarterfinals. Balkh triumphed over Maidan Wardak with a commanding 8-2 victory.
Meanwhile, Badakhshan clinched a quarterfinal berth by defeating Logar 5-0.
The league, which showcases the traditional sport of Buzkashi, has drawn participation from twelve teams representing various provinces across Afghanistan.
During the initial stage, each team played two games to determine the eight teams that would advance to the quarterfinals.
