In the latest wave of deportations, more than 2,500 undocumented Afghan migrants were repatriated from Pakistan in the past two days, according to figures reported by Pakistani media.

The continuous deportations from the neighboring country have been taking place through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings in Nangarhar and Kandahar provinces.

Pakistani media outlines the process wherein migrants are initially transported to refugee camps near border towns before being formally deported to Afghanistan.

This recent surge in deportations adds to the cumulative figures, with Pakistani media reporting that a total of 448,670 undocumented Afghans have been repatriated to Afghanistan thus far.
