Afghanistan’s taekwondo team sweep medals at world festival

The Afghanistan national taekwondo team has made its mark at the prestigious World Taekwondo Festival held in South Korea, securing an impressive collection of medals including one silver and two bronze.

Bezhan Sadrzada showcased exceptional skills in the 63-kilogram weight category.

Sadrzada defeated his two Kazakhstani rivals to reach the final.

However, in the final match, he faced off against South Korean taekwondo athlete Hwan Yang Kim.

Despite a good performance, Sadrzada managed to claim the silver medal.

Meanwhile, the Afghanistan team’s achievements were further bolstered by Ramish Hussaini and Omid Sahak, competing in the 80-kilogram weight category.

Their performances earned them bronze medals.

This comes after Afghanistan’s taekwondo star Ali Akbar Amiri won gold in the 87kg category at the South Korea Open Taekwondo Championships a week ago.
