Speenghar Region secured its second victory of the e& Regional List A Tournament on Sunday, defeating Bost Region by six wickets in Nangarhar.
After winning the toss, Bost elected to bat and posted 235 for 8 in its allotted 50 overs, led by a century from Afsar Khan Zazai.
Zazai scored 101 runs, while Naseer Ahmad added 33, Karim Janat contributed 32 and Numan Shah made 24 to help set a competitive target.
For Speenghar, Mohammad Nabi, Yamin Ahmadzai and Farid Ahmad each claimed two wickets.
In response, Speenghar reached the target with 59 balls remaining, finishing the chase in 40.1 overs.
Zubaid Akbari led the innings with 73 runs, while Baheer Shah scored 44 and Wafiullah Tarakhil added 41. Darwish Rasooli remained unbeaten on 30, helping guide his side to victory.
Karim Janat was the most successful Bost bowler, taking two wickets for 38 runs.
Akbari was named Player of the Match for his match-winning knock.
The victory gives Speenghar its second win of the tournament and strengthens its position in the early stages of the competition.
The tournament will continue on Monday with its ninth match between Amo Region and Band-e-Amir Region.
