Razia Shifai, a journalist from Afghanistan, and her family have been detained by Pakistani police, sources told Amu TV on Friday.
Shifai was taken into custody along with her family and transferred to Haji Camp, a detention facility in northeastern Pakistan from where migrants are sent back to Afghanistan, the sources said.
Pakistan has in recent months stepped up the detention and deportation of migrants from Afghanistan, including journalists, amid a broader crackdown on undocumented foreigners.
According to the Afghanistan Media Support Organization, at least five Afghan journalists have been arrested in Pakistan over the past two weeks.
Pakistani authorities have not commented publicly on the detention.
