A five-member Afghan wrestling delegation has departed for Bahrain to participate in the third edition of the Asian Youth Games.
The team includes three athletes and is part of Afghanistan’s broader participation in the multi-sport event.
The Asian Youth Games feature 27 sports and will host athletes from 45 countries. Nearly 50 Afghan athletes are expected to compete in eight disciplines.
The games begin Sunday, Oct. 22, in Bahrain and will continue through Oct. 31.
