Taliban members in Badakhshan’s Jurm district shot and wounded a 75-year-old man accused of writing amulets, local sources told Amu.
The incident took place two days ago in the district center, the sources said. According to them, a member of the Taliban’s Vice and Virtue Department fired a full magazine of Kalashnikov rounds at the man, three of which struck his body.
The victim, identified as “Mistari,” was transferred to Kunduz Provincial Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Taliban have not commented on the case.
