Body of missing boy found in eastern Afghanistan

The body of a 14-year-old boy was found in eastern Kunar Province on Tuesday, two days after he was reported abducted, according to local sources.

The boy, identified as Owais, had been taken from a market in the Narai district, where he sold rice, residents said. His father operates a bicycle repair shop in the same district.

His body was discovered in the nearby village of Songli, showing signs of having been killed with stones, the sources added.

The motive for the killing remains unclear. Taliban authorities in Kunar have not commented on the case.
