The Silk Bridge border crossing between Afghanistan and Iran has reopened to all forms of traffic after being closed for a week, Taliban officials in Nimroz said in a statement on Sunday.
The statement said that Iranian border forces had previously shut the route, though no explanation was provided for the closure.
The crossing reopened following discussions between Taliban officials in Nimroz and their Iranian counterparts, the statement said.
Silk Bridge is one of two major border crossings between Afghanistan and Iran.
Iran has recently deported large numbers of Afghan migrants through this crossing, second only to the Islam Qala border point.
