Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, arrived in Kabul on Wednesday to oversee the delivery of humanitarian aid to victims of the recent earthquake in eastern Afghanistan.
Her visit comes as part of an air bridge operation launched under the directives of Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Four Qatari Amiri Air Force aircraft landed in the Afghan capital carrying emergency relief supplies, including two field hospitals, food, medical aid and shelter materials for approximately 11,000 people.

The aid, provided by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), is part of Qatar’s ongoing response to the devastating earthquake that struck several provinces in eastern Afghanistan, killing hundreds and injuring thousands.
The Qatari delegation also included representatives from the armed forces, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and QFFD.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry said the operation reflects its continued commitment to humanitarian support and solidarity with the Afghan people in the aftermath of natural disasters.
